It’s been almost a year now that I’ve been writing this blog, sharing information about traveling around the country and Safford RV, and talking about what fun it can be to own an RV. I thought maybe it was time for you all to get to know me better. And what better way, I thought, then to take you on a tour of my home. Other than my family, and our RV store, of course, there is nothing I’m more proud of.
So, I invite you to take a look….
This is a view into my newly re-done kitchen, with corian counters, stainless steel appliances, and beautiful cherry cabinets. I have so much storage room and cooking space – and look at my beautiful tile floors….a chef’s dream! (although, i have to admit, i’m not much of a chef, but this kitchen makes even take-out look great)
Our beautiful Master Bedroom Walk-in closet….again, cherry cabinets, mirrors, tons of storage, plush carpeting….I feel like I’m in a 5-star hotel.
How beautiful is my family room???? Leather sectional with pull-out foot rest, continuation of the gorgeous tile floors, cherry woodwork, tons of light through my huge windows…..
Our lovely master bedroom…which is not always this clean!!!
Oh, okay – I can’t go on. This is NOT my house. Although I wish it was!! The smart ones in the bunch have probably already figured it out….this is, in fact, just one of the many options out there for you, right now, in the Highline Fifth Wheel market. Pretty amazing, huh?
So, now that we know what we’re really looking at, let’s take a better look at how the Fifth Wheel Luxury market is changing for 2012.
Heartland Cyclone 3800, available at Safford RV
RV Manufactures have tried in the past to create a homey feel in their fifth wheels, but they are realizing now, more than ever, their customers are demanding it, and they are responding. If customers are going to leave their comfortable, luxurious houses, they don’t want to skip a beat when they walk into their comfortable, luxurious RV.
For the next 20 years there will be 72 billion baby boomers reaching retirement age, and they’ve started pulling their money out of real estate, where they’re being taxed like crazy, and switching over to the RV lifestyle.
They’re used to a house with a comfortable bed, walk-in closet, household pantry, a hall closet – even a 13 gallon trash can – and just because they’re giving up their permanent living structure for a ‘box on wheels’ doesn’t mean they want to compromise in any of those areas.
Because these luxury Fifth Wheels are not the least expensive to purchase, the customer is more discriminating and will tend to pay a bit more to have exactly what they want, and RV manufacturers are not leaving out a thing.
The new Fifth Wheel Models are offering furnishings with oversized sprung seating, dinette chairs, recliners, 80 ft sofas, box springs under pillow top, memory foam mattresses and 55-inch TVs, to name a few. And many manufacturers have as many as eight different floor plans to choose from.
In addition manufacturers are using solid cherry hardwood cabinet construction, wood blinds, frameless windows on the exterior, and residential sized showers.
If you haven’t taken a look at Fifth Wheels in a while, you need to come see us at Safford RV – they are nothing like they used to be. You will find Blue Ridge, Cardinal and Chaparral fifth wheels – your ‘Home Sweet RV’ filled with all of the luxurious amenities you could ask for.
